Why in-home changes everything
A farewell that feels like the love story it always was
A clinic visit can’t show us the bottom of the stairs, or that your dog has been sleeping in a different spot than usual. Those details matter, and you can only see them at home.
In-home care means:
Your pet stays calm in their own familiar space
The entirety of the family (children, other pets) can be present
No travel, no waiting room, no unfamiliar smells or sounds
Your vet explains every step before it happens
You set the pace. There is never any rush.
We stay as long as your family needs
The visit, step by step
What to expect
Every appointment is shaped around your family. Here is how a typical visit unfolds.
1
We arrive at your home
Your veterinarian arrives calmly and without hurry. We introduce ourselves, take a moment to settle in, and let your pet get comfortable with a stranger in the house before anything else happens.
2
We sit with you first
Before we examine your pet, we talk with you. We ask what brought you here, what you've been noticing, what you want for this moment. Your perspective shapes everything that follows.
3
A gentle, explained procedure
We walk you through every step before it happens. The procedure itself is gentle and peaceful. Your pet remains in their own space, in your arms or nearby, surrounded by the people they love.
4
Your family takes all the time you need
There is no rush to end the appointment. Sit with your pet. Say what you need to say. We are present for as long as you want us there.
5
Aftercare and grief support from here
Before we leave, we coordinate every aftercare detail with deep care and sensitivity. Cremation, memorialization options, home burial guidance: all of it arranged so you don't have to make those decisions alone. Complimentary grief support sessions are available to every family we serve.

All the time you need
We are never in a hurry. A typical appointment is 45 to 60 minutes. Your family sets the pace from the moment we arrive to the moment we leave.

Nothing happens without your understanding. Your vet walks you through each step before it occurs, so there are no surprises and no uncertainty.

What AAHA accreditation means for your pet’s last day
AAHA accreditation isn't required. It's a choice, and we chose it because we believe your pet's final moments deserve the highest standard of care, backed by independently verified expertise.
Your pet's comfort comes first. AAHA standards guide our use of best practices for comfort, relaxation, and pain management. We take every measure to make this transition as gentle as possible.
A calm, stress-free experience. Our AAHA-trained team uses gentle techniques, soft voices, and the familiar home setting to ease your pet's transition. Their last moments should feel safe and full of love.
Compassion backed by expertise. Our veterinarians specialize in creating a peaceful, respectful goodbye. This isn't just our job. It's our calling.
"No one should have to apologize to their pet. They should be able to say: I did everything I could for you."

Certified in end-of-life veterinary care
CAETA-certified: specialists in peaceful goodbyes
CAETA certification isn't required to make house calls. Our veterinarians earned it because we believe that the last moments of a pet's life deserve a practitioner who has trained specifically for them, not a generalist making an exception.
Trained specifically for this moment. CAETA certification focuses entirely on end-of-life care: the protocols, the communication, and the compassion required when a family is saying goodbye.
A calmer, more informed experience. Our CAETA-certified vets know how to guide families through every step before it happens. No surprises. No uncertainty. Just quiet, unhurried care.
The difference you can feel. When a veterinarian has trained specifically for end-of-life visits, families feel it. The pace is different. The presence is different. That's what CAETA prepares them for.
"Every family deserves a veterinarian who has trained for this moment, not just a clinician who is willing to make the drive."
Every Loved veterinarian holds CAETA certification
Common questions
You may be wondering…
These are the questions we hear most. Our full FAQ has answers to everything else.
Every pet and family is different. Watch for a pet who is shrinking their world: sleeping in a new spot, skipping meals for the third night in a row, stopping at the end of the driveway instead of going further. Significant mobility issues, difficulty breathing, or withdrawing from the family are all signs that quality of life may have shifted. Once you have a question or a doubt, that's enough reason to call. Our veterinarians are here to help you understand what your pet is experiencing and to walk alongside your family in making a decision you feel at peace with.
At home, there are no unfamiliar smells or sounds, no travel stress, and no waiting room anxiety. Your pet stays calm in their own familiar space. The entirety of the family, including children and other pets, can be present. And we take all the time you need. There is never any rush. Those details change everything, and you can only see them at home.
Absolutely. We design every visit around the entirety of the family. A typical appointment is 45 to 60 minutes. You are welcome to hold your pet, play music, or light candles. The veterinarian will take their time, walk through each step with you, and follow your lead. Whatever makes the moment feel right for your family, we are here to support that.
No. Our veterinarian will take the time to get to know you and your pet through conversation and a physical examination during the appointment itself. You know your pet better than anyone. We are there to support your family, confirm your understanding of their condition, and walk alongside you in offering this final act of love.
After your pet passes, we coordinate every detail with deep respect and sensitivity. Cremation, memorialization options, keepsakes: all arranged through trusted partners so your family has the space to grieve and remember. Home burial guidance is also available at no additional charge for families who prefer it.
“Stephanie and her team are angels on earth. If soul dogs exist, Bitsy was mine. I was luckily enough to have her for almost 17 years. In her last days, I called Stephanie in an ugly cry panic. She was calm, reassured me and promised to take the best care of all of us. We came in the following day and Stephanie and her team were beyond amazing throughout the enitire process. Even though it was the hardest day of our lives, we left knowing Bitsy was in good hands and would not be alone. I cannot recommend her enough to help you cross the rainbow bridge in best best way possible.”

“EverLoved is amazing! From the moment I spoke to Julie on the phone to discuss arrangements for assisting my beloved Dixie over the Rainbow Bridge, I felt at ease in choosing such a great company. It’s never easy making the call and decision in helping our fur babies end their suffering. Dr. Stephanie showed up on time and was so compassionate while talking to us. She walked us through each step of the way and ensured Dixie was not in any pain or discomfort. I could not have asked for a better service and highly recommend EverLoved. Their attention to detail and arrangements for Dixie’s ashes are such a heartfelt gesture that I will forever cherish. Thank you for taking care of us and Dixie!”

“Two weeks ago i had To say goodbye to my best friend, my soul dog, my savior, my everything, and two weeks ago i got to do that in her own home with people she loved. It was as perfect as that moment can be. The amount of love, compassion, and just all around care EverLoved showed me and my family is remarkable. Today they hand delivered my Nala’s remains and they didn’t just deliver them they also checked in to see how I’m holding up and to let me know the amount of love and support i have with them. I cant Thank Stephanie and Holly enough for everything they’ve done during this hard time for me. They’re absolutely amazing, thank you for making such a hard time a little easier.”
