Yes. In-home euthanasia performed by a licensed veterinarian is fully legal in Texas. Our veterinarians are licensed in the state of Texas. Our full-time Loved veterinarians are Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarians (CPEV).

We coordinate cremation through a trusted partner. Families choose private cremation, which returns your pet's ashes to you, or Gentle Transportation, which does not return ashes. Our team handles the coordination, and you receive one invoice from Loved. Ashes and memorial items typically come back to our team within 7 to 10 days, and we keep you updated if anything takes longer.
This is one of the most common worries. Your veterinarian begins with a gentle sedative, given as a small injection just under the skin. It brings sleep, pain relief, and anxiety relief together. In about 5 to 10 minutes your pet feels drowsy and settles into sleep, and many pets snore softly. The sedation does not wear off during the visit, so nobody has to rush. Some pets react to the injection itself, and your veterinarian tells you so before beginning. Most families find the experience calmer and more peaceful than they expected.
Yes, and it is complimentary. Every family we serve in Houston can join our free online pet loss support group, led by a licensed veterinary social worker. We also leave each family with resources on how to connect for ongoing support. You are never left alone after we leave.

Comfort Care is an ongoing in-home plan for dogs and cats, with regular check-ins, pain management and quality-of-life reassessments, built after a Quality of Life Assessment. Yes. Comfort Care is available for cats and dogs. Cats hide discomfort, so our team looks for what a cat has stopped doing, such as using a tower or a favorite perch. Fluids, anti-nausea injections and pain injections can be given at home, with no carrier and no car ride.
Yes. Pet palliative care focuses on comfort and quality of life, and it can begin at diagnosis. In Houston it is part of Comfort Care, our ongoing in-home plan built after a Quality of Life Assessment. Hospice usually describes the stage when treatment is no longer the goal. Comfort Care covers both, and it works alongside your pet's regular veterinarian or oncologist.
