Our Mission
Loved was founded to address a deeply felt need for in-home, personal end-of-life care for dogs and cats. Recognizing the emotional challenges faced by families during their beloved pet’s final days, we saw the importance of providing a compassionate alternative to clinical settings.
This approach not only ensures comfort for pets in familiar surroundings but also offers a more intimate and personal experience for families. Loved was born out of a desire to make the transition as peaceful and dignified as possible, honoring the special bond between pets and their owners.

Meet The Team

Dr. Stephanie Bowes
Medical Director
Dr. Stephanie Bowes undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida, in Tampa and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida with the additional Veterinary Business Management certificate.
Dr. Bowes was born and raised in Lakeland, Florida, where she returned to practice as a companion animal veterinarian. While loving animals does not come as a surprise, she entered the veterinary field to better serve the whole family.
As a young girl, she had a passion for both the arts and animals of all types and is fortunate to have been able to cultivate both of those loves. Today, she enjoys staying active in any way possible, traveling, drawing, and most importantly, she loves spending time with her husband, Tyler, and their two sons, Theo and Emory.

Dr. Melissa Hood
Veterinarian
A lifelong animal lover, Dr. Melissa Hood has dedicated her career to caring for pets in companion animal practices located in Florida and South Carolina. Dr. Hood attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate degree as well as graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. She has spent almost 3 decades as a small animal practitioner building a reputation for her compassionate and personalized approach.
An avid swimmer and triathlete in her high school and college years, Dr. Hood now enjoys exploring the great outdoors through hiking, camping and travel with her husband, daughter and son. Currently she also shares her home with two rescue cats and a cattle dog mix.
Dr. Hood has offered home euthanasia services in the past and is honored to offer this meaningful service with Loved Veterinary Services again to allow beloved pets to pass peacefully at home surrounded by love.

Dr. Lindsay Campbell
Veterinarian
Dr. Campbell attended the University Florida for undergraduate studies and veterinary school (Go Gators!). She moved to Tampa in 2023 to be closer to family and the beach. As a veterinarian, her passions involve senior and palliative care, arthritic pain management, and preventative wellness. Outside of work she enjoys taking and teaching yoga, trying new restaurants with friends, going on weekend trips with her husband, roller blading, and decorating cakes. She has two cats and two senior dogs, which has led to her devotion to bettering the lives of senior dogs in their golden years.

Dr. Carrie Schultz
Veterinarian
Dr. Carrie Schultz grew up in Victoria, TX and earned degrees from both Texas A&M University and Louisiana State University, where she became a veterinarian. She began a house-call practice in south Louisiana in 2009, where she discovered a passion for improving the quality of life for aging pets and guiding families through end-of-life decisions.
She was among the first to complete the Animal Hospice and Palliative Care certification program, earning her CHPV credential in 2018, and is also a Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian.
After returning to Texas in 2017, Dr. Carrie worked with various small animal practices, including mobile and end-of-life providers. While she values long-term client relationships, she finds deep meaning in helping families navigate goodbyes with peace and dignity.
Dr. Schultz lives in Houston with her Old English Sheepdog, Alvie, and two cats, Pitta and Elmo. She enjoys creative hobbies, community events, and anything by Jim Henson.

Holly Y.
Client Care Coordinator
Holly earned her undergraduate degree from Florida State University before embarking on an exciting journey to Australia, where she spent two years working as an Au Pair. The experiences she gained abroad left a lasting impact, and today she carries that adventurous spirit into her everyday life.
Holly shares her love of exploration with her two beloved Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Tyr and Modi. Known by friends and family as her “world,” they accompany her on every adventure—whether it’s a beach day, a hike, or simply discovering new trails. Her passion for nature and embracing challenges is a defining part of her life.
As a part of Loved, Holly is dedicated to bringing comfort and care to families during difficult times. Her warmth, empathy, and commitment to supporting clients exemplify the compassionate spirit of Loved’s team.

Haylie D.
Client Care Coordinator
Haylie grew up in Kissimmee, FL and later attended Southern Technical College in Orlando where she became a Certified Veterinary Assistant. She worked as a veterinary assistant at an emergency clinic for 1 year and the experiences she gained there left an impact on her that she carries with her everyday.
Haylie shares her adventures with her husband and their two beloved dogs Mali and Luna, their cat Ivy, and 3 other exotic animals that never fail to keep them on their toes.
Growing up, Haylie always had pets, which helped her develop a deep love and passion for animals. This love for animals is what later made her pursue a career in veterinary medicine, and what led her to Loved. She is devoted to bringing care, empathy, and comfort to families during difficult times.
